Montana Elk Hunting

by EcoRover
(Butte America (15 min from Montana))

I'm not a trophy hunter, just a guy who kills an elk or two each year on public land in southwest Montana. I've shot a half-dozen or so bulls over the years but have run out of space to hang racks on the back of the house and now prefer tender, younger cows. For the past several years I have kept a blog about my outdoor experiences, including posts about elk hunting (and mulie, whitetail, and antelope hunting too) during our generously long October-November season. I watch elk all year 'round from calving season to winter range. You can find these posts at EcoRover http://ecorover.blogspot.com -- just go to the site and search for "elk".
