Fitness Exercise Videos

Are you making plans for elk or other big game hunts for this fall? Is fitness included in those preparations? We have three new videos that show quite a few hunting fitness exercises that you can do with minimal or no equipment and minimal time.

You will see some that you have never seen before. Some you may not have associated with big game hunting fitness preparation, but they are!

Move More Efficiently

These exercises will improve your ability to carry your body and gear around, even haul out an elk more efficiently. Efficiency of movement saves energy. Efficiency not only includes endurance, and strength, but balance through core strength.

Watch these videos and think about how they might help prepare for similar movements made during a big game hunt. Add these to hiking (preferably hilly) with pack and boots on. You will find yourself feeling much more able on the mountain and not as sore each morning when you walk out of the tent.

Quick and to the Point

The videos do not include sexy young women in tights, or buff guys that few will ever look like. Just me! I'm small and I've hauled out many elk by myself! I'm no youngster in my 30s, either. I know how to get fit for hunting. I have used training drills learned from the best coaches for years, including a renowned exercise physiologist.

The videos are short. They simply show you how each is done without fanfare or audio. I'll provide a list that you can print out, so you can tailor it as your own training program. Take whatever time you have to do some of these. Don't fret if you don't have time to do them all. Whatever you can fit in will make you fitter for the hunt!

Practice Calling, Too!

It would be best if we would practice speaking the language of "elk" year 'round. But, I only know one person that does that, Paul Medel, of ElkNut Outdoor Productions.

He and his son, Paul, Jr., know the little nuances of elk vocalization like no one else. There's a lot to learn, even if you've been successful at calling in elk.

You CAN know what they are saying. The little nuances mean things. These are the MOST helpful elk calling DVDS, CDs and "Playbook" I have ever seen. You will learn more than you thought you could. And, then there will be even more!
