It would be best to head out towards Bear and find a good area with some small draws. 22 can be a hard unit to hunt. If I had my choice at that age I would want to hunt 40, lol. Good luck on your hunt.

There are plenty of elk in Unit 22. Might want to head West of Council toward Bear and Cuprum. Lots of public land out there. Also some private land so get a good Payette NF map. Good luck
