Elk Hunting

I'm Rick, from KY I go archery elk hunting, in Colorado OTC, and have had good success. taking 8 elk in the last 9 years. My budget has never allowed me to go anywhere else. I received a gift of $3000 for Christmas. I was wanting to go on a self-guided hunt in either New Mexico or Utah. I'm not sure of the best area to go to, but I'm hoping i can get a pretty good land owner tag, but I'm not sure where to start.I would just like to hunt where I'd have a good chance of getting a 320+ bull.
