We hunted the flat tops last year in archery, GMU 24. Our outfitter put us in a dry area and we didn't take the initiative to get out of the situation. We didn't see much but there are plenty of elk if you aren't led to an empty area. You can email me:

Check out Marvine trail head, I hike in about 4 miles between slide lake and Marvine lakes. Great hunting.

Flatt Tops Scouting by: jack elk rookie
We are going into the Flatt tops 2nd rifle this year. Going in about 30 miles east of meeker. I have never been there before. I'd be interested to hear what you find during your visit this week. Maybe we can share observations which in turn could help us this year and you next. jack
